Silverman has been in business for over 30 years. Brothers Eric and Paul Silverman undertook their first project in 1981, renovating a 15 unit building in Jersey City's Paulus Hook neighborhood. They have since moved on to restore historic landmarks, and develop over 1000 units of housing, and over 500,000 sq ft of commercial and light industrial space.
Deeply rooted in the community, Silverman is very active in numerous civic and non-proft agencies that serve the neighborhoods they develop in. Local arts, music and theater are very important to them. Not only do they offer financial support, but they host various art shows and festivals. Their condominium projects have gallery space in the lobbies, that is curated and rotated to support local artists.
