Located at 510 Main Street on Roosevelt Island, Eastwood 510 Main Street is a part of ten building complex built in 1976. This complex is across the street from Rivercross and Island House and spans a total of 1,000 units. A portion of these apartments are permanently reserved for the elderly and disabled members of the community.
Managed by Urban American, potential residents at Eastwood 510 Main Street can arrange a viewing with Natalie Mill by calling (212) 838-4747. The elevator building features a beautiful attended lobby and on-site garage. Tenants can enjoy the benefits of having laundry facilities within the building and an open pet policy. This mid-rise was designed by Josep Lluis Sert, a noted architect who was serving as the Dean of Harvard Graduate School of Design at the time of its creation. Sert wanted to make an efficient multiple-dwelling residential building with triple-loading doors. These angular, concrete buildings were among the first to be built upon Roosevelt Island and are dubbed the WIRE buildings.
Tenants can enjoy an evening spent at a number of the island’s beautiful parks. A pleasant bike path winds around the island and gives it the feel of a comfortable suburban home. Manhattan can be easily accessed via the Roosevelt Island Tramway or on the F line.
