Ozone Park is in the southeastern section of Queens, and is bordered by Brooklyn to the west. With its close proximity to the Jamaica Bay waterfront, Ozone Park had been give its name to lure in new home buyers with a title that could create a thought of cool, ocean breezes blowing across a park-centric community. NY apartments in Ozone Park can be found in a variety of housing stock. This includes single-family homes, two- and three-story rowhouses (attached and semi-detached), as well as serveral low-rise apartment buildings. The Ozone Park neighborhood is serviced by the A train at Rockaway Boulevard, as well as three other stations on Liberty Avenue that are only accessible from Lefferts Boulevard-bound A trains. In addition to the subway, residents of Ozone Park apartments have access to several Queens buses (both local and express). The QM15 express bus travels along the Cross Bay Boulevard, one of the neighborhood's main thoroughfares, stopping at Liberty Avenue and Pitkin Avenue for easy access for residents. Catching this express bus will take Ozone Park residents to Midtown Manhattan within thirty to forty minutes, and during morning rush hour, this bus can arrive as frequently as every eight minutes. There are a few major commercial strips in the neighborhood, and most local businesses are situated on Liberty Avenue, Lefferts Avenue, Cross Bay Boulevard, and Rockaway Boulevard. This neighborhood is bordered by Howard Beach to the south, Woodhaven to the northwest, South Ozone Park to the southeast, Richmond Hill to the northeast, and East New York to the west. Ozone Park is also the location of the Aqueduct Racetrack, a thoroughbred horse-racing facility that opened in 1894, and continues to hold racing events.
