Share Info About Guttenberg
On New Jersey's Hudson River waterfront is one of the smallest towns in Northern New Jersey, and among the most densely populated places in the United States. At only 0.2 square miles in area, Guttenberg is located just across the river from Manhattan's Upper West Side. Much of Guttenberg's housing stock consists of three to four story townhouses and several low-rise apartment complexes. The Guttenberg's skyline is dominated by Galaxy Towers, three high-rise condominiums at the town's waterfront. This small, bedroom community is located near the southern end of the New Jersey Palisades, which makes for an elevated landscape, and some magnificent views of Midtown's skyline. Bergenline Avenue is the main thoroughfare and commercial strip of Guttenberg, although many other side streets provide local places to shop and run errands. There are several New Jersey Transit bus routes into Midtown Manhattan as well as parts of Bergen County.
