Share Info About Bayside
If you are looking for a suburban style neighborhood to find your next NY apartment, then the Bayside community might be the perfect choice. This rather affluent neighborhood of Queens touches the waterfront of the Long Island Sound at the western edge of Little Neck Bay. Although the majority of this community's housing stock are single-family homes, there are still Bayside apartments to be found in this northeastern Queens neighborhood. Many homes are on beautiful tree-lined streets, and have well-maintained yards with lawns and gardens. Residents of the neighborhood are not close enough to walk to the nearest subway station, yet are within close proximity to the Long Island Rail Road's Bayside Station off the Port Washington Line. This train will take you to Midtown Manhattan's Penn Station in just about 30 minutes. The local Q13 bus runs along Bell Boulevard in Bayside, and turns onto Northern Boulevard, allowing passengers to make a transfer to the number 7 train at the Main Street - Flushing Station. The Village Voice has recently called Bayside one of the safest neighborhoods, not just for Queens, but for New York City. With its distinct suburban feel, this is one excellent Queens neighborhood to raise a family. Crocheron Park is located on the waterfront near the northern section of Bayside and has plenty of recreational space for citizens of the neighborhood. Baseball diamonds, basketball courts, and tennis courts make this greenspace an athlete's mecca.
